In April, I represented NutriFit as a show sponsor for a NPC bodybuilding competition in Cleveland, Ohio. This was my first event as a sponsor and it was a great experience to meet athletes, trainers, and experienced individuals in the fitness industry. I also had the chance to meet several local competitors and personal trainers, one of those being Ryan Warton.
Just recently he reached out to me to collaborate on marketing projects to promote both his personal training business (Warton Fitness, LLC) and NutriFit. So look out for us working together in the near future!
I wanted to interview Ryan to personally learn more about him and his experience in the fitness industry, but also for anyone that is interested in learning how to compete in bodybuilding shows, looking for a personal trainer in the Cleveland, Ohio area and so on.
All of these questions are to benefit you as the reader and every response from Ryan is in his own personal words.
Ryan is pictured below training a client.
Q: How did you get started in the fitness/personal training industry and what is your background/experience?

That’s where everything started for me and it transitioned into what I wanted to do for a living. I transferred out of CCC to the University of Akron where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport and Exercise Science. My first job in the fitness industry was at Ballys in Broadview Hts, Ohio where I obtained my CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) from the National Academy of Sport Medicine.
